Owner & Physical Therapist
My name is Dr. Jeremy Sims, and I am the owner and operator of Sims Physical Therapy and Balance Center. I was born and raised in Amory, MS and graduated from Hatley High School in 2014 and from Itawamba Community College in 2016. I then continued and graduated from Mississippi State University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. In 2021 I graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy from William Carey University. I completed my post-graduate Diploma in Osteopractic Physical Therapy in December of 2024.
I married my wife Katherine in May of 2023, and we have four dogs together. I enjoy spending my free time hunting and fishing. I also enjoy spending time with my wife and family.
Brittany Lawson, OT
Occupational Therapist
My name is Brittany Lawson. I grew up in Amory and graduated from Smithville High School in 2009. I received my Master's in Occupational Therapy in 2016 from the University of MS Medical Center.
I worked in Acute Rehab with NMMC-Tupelo for 8.5 years prior to my change into outpatient. I love being able to really get to know my patients, watching their progression, and seeing how happy they are when they meet their goals.
I currently live in Wren with my husband, Levi, and our two children, Mila (7) and Maverick (5). We attend Wren Church of Christ. When I'm not at work or church, you'll find me chauffeuring my children to and from their activities or playing with one of our four-legged babies (three dogs and a bearded dragon).
Mackenzie Gallop, OTA
Occupational Therapist Assistant
My name is Mackenzie Gallop, and I am from Amory! I graduated from Amory High School in 2019 and then graduated from the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Itawamba Community College in 2023. I enjoy working with both pediatric and geriatric populations. I have a special interest in helping children diagnosed with learning disabilities.
I enjoy music, shopping, reading, going to the beach, and spending time with my family. I am a member at Meadowood Baptist Church where I enjoy growing my faith!
I love being a part of the Occupational Therapy community, and I cannot wait to meet many new faces at Sims Physical Therapy and Balance Center!
Emily Mitchell
Office Manager
My name is Emily Mitchell. I grew up in the Okolona/Wren area. I graduated from Amory High School in 2005. Afterwards I attended and graduated from ICC with an associates degree in Early Childhood. As much as I loved working with children, God chose a different path for me and led me to the medical billing profession! I have experience in billing, prior authorizations and insurance knowledge. I plan to further my education in the future with Medical Billing and Coding.
My husband, Austin Mitchell and I have been together since 2013 and were married in 2017. We have a beautiful daughter, Drew, who attends Smithville High School. I am a member of Meadowood Baptist Church where I serve on the Women's Enrichment Committee. We as a family stay busy keeping up with our very active teen daughter! I also enjoy traveling, hunting with my husband, the beach and shopping. I look forward to meeting new faces and assisting them with all of their insurance and scheduling needs!
Katherine Morgan Sims, BSN, RN
My name is Katherine Sims, and I was born and raised in Amory, MS. I graduated from Hatley High School in 2018 and later graduated from The University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences and from the University of Mississippi's Accelerated BSN program. I am now a Labor and Delivery nurse at Gilmore-Amory Hospital. I help coordinate marketing events for Sims Physical Therapy and Balance Center.
I married Jeremy in May of 2023 and enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my two mini dachshunds, Della and Daisy.
Becka Kyle
Although I truly enjoyed the world of finance, my heart belongs to health and fitness. In 2021, I began coaching at 1529 Fitness & encouraging people in the midst of their journey to a healthier lifestyle has become my passion. Anytime I get the opportunity to witness someone do something they never thought they could, or would be able to do again, is just a true joy to me.
My husband, Chris Kyle, and I have been married since April 2015. We have three beautiful children- Anna Claire (17), Benjamin (12), and Canaan (9), who each attend Amory Schools. I am a member of Amory First Assembly of God, where I serve on our praise and worship team. If I am not at work, church, or the gym, you can find me at home, usually on the couch next to my rescue pup, Brutus. I am so excited to meet new faces and help serve as a new friendly face at Sims.
